Description
Presented is a wonderful Scottish sterling silver marrow scoop spoon. This piece dates to 1761. The scoop is double ended, with a regular spoon end and a narrow scoop end for scooping marrow out of bones. Both the spoon end and the scoop end face the same way. This is a sturdy, well made piece of Scottish silver, and would make an exceptional addition to any silver collection.This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the thistle mark for sterling silver, the castle mark for the city of Edinburgh, the date letter for 1761, and the maker's mark for Lothian & Robertson.
