    Description

    For sale is this antique Stanley smooth bottom plane, measuring 2-1/2" wide and 14" long. Signed "Bailey", No.5" and "Made In U.S.A." on the body, it has sound and solid knob and tote handles, and a unbranded 2" X 6-5/16" blade iron. The edge is good, and will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The body is dirty, with rust, and missing much of its original Japanning. The underside of he blade cap is signed "Pat. No. 1918750" as pictured.  Antique plane worth your time and expertise to restore, or as a everyday user.
