    Antique Henry Troemner For Arthur H. Thomas NO. 50 APOTHECARY BALANCE w/Weights
    Overall dimensions of around 19" high, 9-1/4" deep, and 17" wide. Marked MADE BY HENRY TROEMNER FOR ARTHUR H. THOMAS CO. PHILADELPHIA NO. 50 Apothecary Scale.
    The scale is in very good overall condition and looks fantastic!  All glass panels are intact and free from scratches. The front door opens freely, however the string that connects to the counterweight on the front left side is broken and could be replaced.   The scale mechanisms move freely, although it would likely need service if you actually wanted to weigh with it. There is light corrosion on some of the metal parts as shown in the photographs.  The front cellulite knob on the drawer has broken off and could be glued (we have always left it off for fear of getting knocked off again). We have recently stored incense in the drawers so there is a vague incense smell, but this could be aired out.
    The three round weighs are marked H.T. PHILA (for Henry Troemer, Philadelphia) and include 1 and 2 Scruples and 1 Drachm. The BECKER'S SONS - ROTTERDAM weight set includes the 1-30 gram weighs and several of the smaller weights, including 500 mg.   The other set includes 1/2, 1,2,3,4,5,6 Grams and 1/2, 1, 2 Scruples and 1/2, 1, 2 Drams.
